Resumo: This study aimed to analyze the structure of woody species, adults and natural regeneration, stratify vegetation through of multivariate analysis, volume and biomass equations for area savanna vegetation (caatinga) in the municipality of Floresta-PE timber with importance, assisting with information for sustainable forest management of the training. The forest inventory was conducted in an area of about 50 ha of savanna vegetation (8°30'37" S and 37°59'07” W), municipality of Floresta- PE. We sampled 40 plots of 20 x 20 m for surveys of adults, a plot of 5 x 5 m for regenerating individuals Were measured and tagged all individuals with CBH (circumference at 1.3 m above ground) ≥ 6 cm for adults and saplings above 20 cm in height. Trees were harvests for determination of volume and biomass. These data were calculated parameter estimates phytosociological, diameter structure, indices of diversity, spatial distribution, volume and biomass equations. The diversity index of Shannon-Winner (H ') was 2.01 nats.ind-1 for adults and 1.91 nats.ind.-1 for regeneration. Estimated density was 1403.75 ind.ha-1 and basal area of 5.84 m².ha-1. The species Poincianella bracteosa appeared as dominant in the study area, especially in stem number, basal area and wood volume. The DBH (Diameter at breast height = 1.30 m) vegetation ranged from 1.91 to 31.19 cm, with a concentration of 85.44% in the first four diameter classes. Not all species have recruitment of individuals continuously from caatinga in the study. The species Bauhinia cheilanta and Poincianella bracteosa showed stabilized to the site, and possibly tends to be present among the dominant species of adult stratum future. With the application of cluster analysis was possible to verify the formation of distinct groups. The volume of wood vegetation focused on individuals 15 cm DBH, because of high densities in this range of diameter. The equations showed a tendency to overestimate the volume and biomass of trees of smaller diameter.
