Resumo: The experiment was conducted in the Milk Quality Laboratory, Management of Dairy Herds of Northeast Program (PROGENE, Portuguese initials), localized in the Animal Science Department of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) and in the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), in the Experimentation and Feed Analysis Laboratory (LEAAL) of the Nutrition Department (DN). It is aimed stablished a calibration curve to the Bactocount IBC equipment, that realize an individual score of bacterias (ISB) on milk, which should express the results on unit form colony (UFC), preconized by IN (Normative Instruction) n. 51 (MAPA, 2002). Was collected approximately 800 milk samples of expansion tanks and of milk cans too arising from four Brazilian States of Northeast Region and, following, conditioning in sterile recipients with 100 mL of volume capacity and conserved at 4ºC (+ 1) until the analysis proceed, made it maximum in 48 hours. After the analysis in the Bactocount IBC, the samples were conducted to UFC determination using the ISO normative n. 4833:2003. To determination of milk quality was available the Somatic Cell Count (SCC), Individual Bacteria Count (IBC), pH, titratable acid, protein and milk fat in samples of all Northeast States and in the different seasons of the year. There was interaction between the Stats analyzed and the year seasons (p<0.05) to SCC, pH, acidity, lactose and protein variables. Not had interaction (p>0.05) to IBC and fat milk variables. All milk samples analyzed of all Northeast States showed high bacterial load, that it mostly was above of the minimum limits preconized by the Brazilian Normative Instruction n. 62. The Sergipe State was the one of a kind that showed medium values of all year below of recommendations made by the IN n. 62 to actual year.
