Resumo: |
The objective of this work is to collaborate with the empirical literature to assess the impact of public incentives for innovation from national companies’ data. It analyzes the effect of the “Lei de Inovação” – an instrument that marks the beginning of the effort directed by the Brazilian Government through tax incentives and subsidies-innovative business results. This evaluation is based on estimations of econometric models with Brazilian industrial organization data collected from the Brazilian Innovation Survey (PINTEC) from 2000 to 2014 through the unbalanced panel data technique, with the proper tests to select the most appropriate model. The results showed that the models, although they indicated a positive signal for the National Law, could not capture the effect of it in any of the cases. On the other hand, the State Law was positive and significant at 5% in all of them. |
