Resumo: |
In view of the concern to understand the dynamics of restoration areas, based on the use of ecological indicators, the main objective of this study was to obtain a current diagnosis of the process of forest restoration in riparian areas of the Siriji Dam, in Pernambuco. In this sense, two areas under forest restoration process were selected, one in the Succession Model (MS) and the other in the Induction Model (MI), which are part of the forest restoration of the dam as a whole. For the evaluation, ecological indicators were selected within five major groups: landscape, composition, structure, soil and function, which allowed to infer about the restoration process of these areas. Twenty permanent plots of 100 m² were installed in each of the two study environments, using the same methodology to obtain the data. Soil density and aggregate stability were also evaluated in the 0-10, 10-20 and 20-40 cm layers. As a result, it was observed differences in DM for MI, especially in aggregate stability, regeneration and floristic composition; however, they have similarities to the structure and some ecological processes are common in these environments. |
