To evaluate the profile of blood fibrinogen, serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and leukogram, besides checking the possible correlations loved these indicators laboratory in bitches clinically healthy and without pyometra, two groups were formed, one without pyometra (n = 15) and another with pyometra (n = 30). Collection of blood was obtained by venous puncture to obtain serum, plasma and whole blood, which are used in determining the variables. The quantitative PCR was determined by ultra-sensitive turbidimetric method. It was observed that the total number of leukocytes, metamyelocytes, band cells, segmented neutrophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes, in addition to fibrinogen and CRP were higher for the group of animals with pyometra, while the values of eosinophils were lower for the same group. High positive correlation was observed between CRP and fibrinogen and the latter with parameters of leukogram. It can be concludedthat leukocytes analysis of fibrinogen and C-reactive protein may be recommended as coadjutants examination in the diagnosis of the inflammatory process of bitches with pyometra. Judging by the ease and practicality of holding these different tests, it is recommended the fibrinogen followed by PCR for the clinical diagnosis of this condition. |
