Resumo: This study aims to evaluate the relationship between conflict resolution, relational capacity and performance of contractual strategic alliances. The research universe are Brazilian human pharmaceutical companies. The population of companies was set to from pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers together companies, biotechnology companies and pharmacy chains. a structural model was prepared and measurement composed of causal relationships between these constructs based on existing theory. From the model, they defined latent variables of first and second order and measurable indicators. We collected primary data on 159 companies through interviews with managers responsible for alliances. He studied an alliance to each company. To test the data collected for the measurement model proceeded to the analysis of structural equations by Partial Least Squares method. The achieved results show that there is consistency between the theoretical basis used in the work and the empirical data. It is noteworthy that the relational capacity and resolution of conflicts in strategic alliances positively influence the performance of alliances from greater contribution than its costs. organizational economics approach to conclude that can benefit from the study of organizational capabilities with relational capacity to explain the difference in performance of organizations. And that training approaches can gain with the approach of organizational economics to explain the origin of organizational capabilities.
