Resumo: |
Be it for pieces of literary fiction, works of cinematography and television, arts, entertainment or even for the reality of work, business, or human survival, the link between society and technology is shown in history as a constant cause of interest and, today, has taken the leading role in contemporary culture. The same can be said for the use of digital applications in search of love relationships, replacing old mechanisms, such as newspaper ads. Having been inspired by observation and gathering informal testimonials about the object of study, this research investigates user behavioral patterns of the dating app Tinder through observations of its interface, design and mechanics, concluding that this can follow ludic and game-like principles, as a cultural phenomenon, where it is possible to identify players, rules, selection and disposal mechanisms, results and downloads, within the limits of this investigation |
