Resumo: Based on the theory of enunciation, on Bakhtin s and Authier-Revuz s studies, this research intends to investigate the strategies used by journals to assure the image of exempt and objective journalistic speech and, with such resources, which are not aleatory, to produce meaning effects on their readers that lead them to a specific nterpretation about an event, there is always a choice about the best way of describing a fact, that goes on the direction of the journal s interests in order to guarantee their public adhesion. We have analyzed heterogeneity marks and penetrated into the functioning of different voices hidden in the sensationalistic and police news of Diarinho s main layer headlines. It has let us to denounce the heterogeneous nature of journalistic speech and its impartial feature. The journalist, as reporting a social occurrence in the news, even if unconsciously, emits opinions and seeks an interaction with the reader through the usage of a language with strong influence of popular oral language. We have observed, then, the discrepancy between the press vehicles speech and the final result of their work as regards the defense of the objectivity and impartiality of the journalistic speech
