This project aims to contribute to the construction of knowledge about assessment developed in Masters courses through grade examination. It investigates the possibility of external factors interfering in assessments of stalls Masters. The study conducts a historical review of the constitution of post-graduate courses in Brazil, highlighting the importance of graduate education for economic and social development of the country and reviews the literature on assessment in post-graduation, especially about the grade exam, emphasizing the principles and criteria involved. To answer the research question, it was carried out an empirical study, raising the perception of guiding teachers involved in assessing the degree of Master's examination of different areas of knowledge, comparing these perceptions with productions by the Joint Committee on meta-review and the authors Silvana Andrea Pezzi and Valerie Steil on grade exams. In the end, came to the conclusion that external factors such as affinity between committee members and advisor and the presence of relatives in the act of defense, it may influence the value judgment issued on reviews from masters‟ degree exams. |
