Resumo: |
This work has the general objective of analyzing the legends as cultural-literary heritage of the Guaporé valley (RO) through the work Lendas do Guaporé (2007), by Matias Alves Mendes. In this sense, we raised the following question: does reading the aforementioned work enable an understanding of the cultures of the populations residing in the Rondônia territory? How the legends of Guaporé become cultural heritage of the population of the Guaporé Valley. To prepare the text of the dissertation, the following specific objectives were defined: to reflect on the relationships between the formation of the people of Rondônia, especially the Vale do Guaporé, and the legends of the region that are presented in the work ¿Lendas do Guaporé¿, by Matias Alves Mendes; present to Rondônia and, consequently, to the world, this Valley that is surrounded by mysteries sustained in the legends of Guaporé. The work Lendas do Guaporé portrays part of the formation of the Rondônia people by dealing with the history of quilombola communities and other immigrants who came to the region during the colonization process and during economic cycles. The research also presents studies related to myths and legends, from different theoretical perspectives, with the aim of understanding these narratives as elements belonging to the culture, not only of primitive people, but also of contemporary people, who continue to seek explanations for explanations in primordial narratives. their doubts and conflicts. It then conceptualizes myth and legend, establishing the difference between them, and discusses the idea that, in the Amazon region, since its colonization, myth and legend have proved to be a way of disseminating the cultural history of the communities that populate it. this region. The methodology used in the production of this work was bibliographic, having as its basic source the work Lendas do Guaporé (2007), by Matias Alves Mendes and as theoretical aids Myth and reality (2004) by Mircea Eliade, Amazon: state, man, nature (2014) by Violeta Loureiro, O Poder do Mito (1990), by Joseph Campbell, Dictionary of Brazilian Folklore (1997) and Oral Literature in Brazil (2006), by Câmara Cascudo and other works that contributed to the reflection on this topic. In the analysis that follows, it is demonstrated that this study allowed us to understand that legends are proponents of man's primordial feeling, which gives culture a lightness, projected by the Guaporean's gaze. Finally, it addresses the conception of text as a place of interaction between a social subject of meaning construction. Under this conception, it is understood that, if the text is a place of interaction, it is also possible to conceptualize language as an interactive, social and mental activity, which structures our knowledge and allows our knowledge to be structured. |
