Resumo: | This research belongs to the research line of Education Process, differences and values, from the Post-graduation Program in Education of the FCT-UNESP of Presidente Prudente, and it aims to reflect on the female representation in textbooks made by the Education Secretary of São Paulo to high school. It is aimed, through the use of feminist line of thought, problematize the hegemonic gender representation which reiterate and emphasize prejudice and inequality attitudes between men and women. It reflects, through Feminist Studies, about the possibilities of doing a pedagogical action originated from a perspective that breaks with the patriarchal bias, showing the important of the feminist line of thought as a possibility to problematize the gender relations. We discuss the Feminist Literary Criticism as a theoretical and criticism tool which enables identify the gender stereotypes present in literary books that are part of the Student's Portuguese and Literature Textbook of high school. It was elaborated an analysis of texts presented in these textbooks, presenting how the material is structured, and narrating the public policies that motivated the confection of these textbook. Finally, it is presented the results of the analysis and the reflection on the importance of problematizing the gender in order to the accomplishment of a fairer and more inclusive pedagogy to all member of the school community |
