Resumo: | The content of oil wastes product in Brazil is growing fast and, consequently, the discard of these materials in nature become progressively complicated. According with ECÓLEO, Brazilian Association to Awareness, Gathering and Recycling Edible Oil Wastes, and the oil is one of the most pollutants of seas and rivers in regions most density of Brazil. Believes that concrete could to be applied in pavements, parking lots, sidewalk, gutter, and division walls in roads and avenues, i.e., could be an option to discard oil wastes, decreasing the environment impact caused by the bad destination of these wastes in nature. Results of compression resistance, flexural resistance and elasticity modulus have showed significances reductions when ROV and ROL has been put in concrete mix. Nevertheless, it has not presented significances alterations flexural on splitting tensile strength. The results of microstructural analysis have not detected the heavy metals presence in the samples with oil wastes. Despite of these reductions on mechanical properties, the non-influence in flexural splitting tensile and the absence of heavy metals, these concrete with oil wastes can provide an alternative of wastes disposals in concrete structures to apply in concrete pavements, since applied in places with low mechanical resistance requirements, contributing with environment and sustainability development |
