Resumo: | The municipalities of Ilha Solteira, Itapura, Pereira Barreto, Sud Mennucci and Suzanápolis located in the São Paulo northwestern region, since 2006 has undergone a major change in the use and occupation of land where the culture of sugar cane had a large expansion land use occupying areas that were once used for pasture. This drastic change of land use might lead to a alterations in the energy balance, just like that interfering with the climate of region. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the radiation balance, energy and evapotranspiration in the São Paulo northwest region using remote sensing techniques through the SAFER algorithm, which was applied to 16 images divided into two periods, the first being 2001 to 2004 and the second of 2008 to 2011. The total area of crop production of sugar cane in the study region had a major expansion mainly between 2006 to 2007 and 2007 to 2008, increasing from 17.542 ha in 2006 to 58.541 ha in 2008, representing a increase of 333.7%, an increase of just over 15.000 ha in 2007 to 25.000 ha in 2008 and reaching 72.269 ha in 2011. Accordingly, evaluating the parameters of the radiation balance, energy and evapotranspiration for the periods aforementioned, we found an increase in the albedo values and H/Rn, after the expansion of cane sugar in the region, while NDVI data, and ETa/ET0, λE/Rn showed a decrease in mean values for the same period. When related to the average value obtained for the entire study area, with the average values for some classes of land use, areas of sugar cane and pasture had high R 2 values, evidencing a strong influence of the of the sugar cane expansion and pasture degradation in the radiation and energy balance. Water consumption in the region, considering the entire study area of 280.591 ha and using the average value of ETa of 1.73 mm day -1 refers to average throughout the period evaluated for the entire study is approximately 4.854.224.3 m 3 dia -1 |
