Resumo: | Low back pain (LBP) is a clinical condition of moderate or severe pain that can affect the lumbar, lumbosacral or sacral iliac, characterized as chronic when more than six months. It is a public health problem that has a high cost to the health care system and is characterized by impaired muscular activation that causes muscle strength has compromises and muscular endurance, however, isn't known say what these changes caused by pain and if they are related to their appearance. The diagnosis conducted in subjects with low back pain is subjective and requires tests that identify the presence of pain. Thus, this dissertation objective to determine whether the variables static isometric strength and static endurance present diagnostic accuracy in identifying sedentary young adults with and without chronic LBP, discriminant analysis from a study that evaluated activation of the trunk muscles (muscles Internal Oblique, External Oblique, Rectus Abdominis; Multifidus and Iliocostalis) was done during different conditions gait (specific and preferably speed) according to the division performed by diagnostic test of endurance ( test Biering-Sorensen) which was identified as the best characterization. The Electromyographic analysis was performed using the mean value of the linear envelope and normalized by muscle activation during speed preference. The results of isometric strength and static edurance of trunk extensor muscles showed lower in individuals with chronic DL relative to individuals without DL, and present diagnostic accuracy for both variables, but muscle endurance test showed greater diagnostic power. The results of muscle activation suggested that individuals with chronic LBP show greater activation in Rectus Abdominis muscle more speeds and greater activation of the external oblique muscle at low speeds compared with the group without LBP. We can conclude that the isometric strength and static endurance of trunk extensor muscles... |
