Resumo: | The present study had an objective to economic analysis of enterprises on tilapia culture in the cages, with investments and costs in growing scale. It was collected primary dates of three enterprises of tilapia (Orechromis nilóticus and Oreochromis spp.), in the São Paulo State. One of them with 40 cages to which is called enterprise P, other with 67 cages to which is called enterprise M, and finally an enterprise with 100 cages to which is called enterprise G. Analyzed the impacts in the production costs and the effects in the economical results (cost variation in relation to the number of cages and production), for this was used the operational cost and production total cost structures, as well as the cash flow analysis. Through the results it can be observed that scale economy exists in the fish cage aquaculture, when the increasing of the production scale it reduces the medium total cost of production. Being concluded that an economy of decreasing costs exists (R$ 1,70 /kg; R$ 1,67 /kg and R$ 1,53 /kg, for the enterprises P, M and G respectively). Was verificated that the variable medium cost influence directly to the breakpoint, in other words in the measure in that the variable medium cost increases, the minimum quantity of production is also increased for not entering in losses. The fish feed was the input of more participation in the total cost (43,3%; 58,3% and 62%; for P, M and G respectively) that increases when the production scale is increased. The sensibility analysis showed high sensibility of these enterprises and the enterprise M was the least sensitive to analyzed inputs (number of cage, selling price, fish feed price, etc.).The analysis of costs showed that the big scale enterprises, it cannot present the best economic results |
