The watershad of the Ribeirão of Rebojo is inserted in the region of Pontal, marked by major changes throughout its history which led to clearing several environmental problems due to lack of proper management in the appropriation of natural resources. We sought to understand the dynamics of changes in land use and land cover in the catchment between 1971/1972 and 2007/2008 respectively with aerial photos and satellite imagery. The application of geoprocessing techniques through the Land Change Modeler contributed to quantitative and qualitative analyzes emerging maps of change, transition, persistence, gain and loss of use and land cover over the 36 years. For the period under review has been the change of the land use of pasture land for cane sugar as the main area of occurrence and expansion process, the Country setting with significant loss of its catchment area giving way to other uses and coverage, expresses the natural vegetation by forest stands with the existence of remnants in the basin, however in general, with losses among other analyzes made that contributed to the understanding of the dynamics existing in the basin...
