Resumo: | Mathematical models have been used as a tool in poultry nutrition to adjust the nutritional levels for each breeding phase. However, for its application on broiler breeders it is necessary to describe the growth of the body and reproductive organs up to the sexual maturity and egg production. Thus, the objectives of this study were: 1) Modelling the growth and sexual maturity and estimate the nutritional requirement; 2) Simulate the nutritional requirement of broiler breeders using different lighting programmes (Program A: 8 h light/d to 100 d followed by an increase at that age to 13 h/d; and Program B: 8 h light/d to 140 d at which age the light was increased to 13 h/d); 3) Modelling the egg production of broiler breeder; and 4) Estimate the nutritional requirement of the broiler breeders in egg production. To collect data, 3 experiments were conducted, separately: the growth phase (1-25 weeks), sexual maturity (18-28 weeks) and egg production (24-60 weeks). In the growth phase were used 300 Cobb broiler breeders from 1 day old to 25 weeks. To sexual maturity phase, weekly slaughtering of 5 birds / week to measure the growth of reproductive organs; and to describe the egg production, 60 broiler breeders were used. The conclusions were obtained: 1) The concentration recommended of lysine, methionine + cysteine and threonine, to 1 to 2 weeks of age are 12.5, 11.0 and 9.4; to 3 to 17 weeks of age are 8.6, 6.4 and 5.6; and to 18 to 20 weeks of age are 7.0, 5.1 and 4.3 g amino acid / kg diet, respectively. 2) For the simulation, according to the lighting program used, the lysine requirement estimates were 284(±78), 298(±71) to 1-4 weeks of age, 400(±150), 422(±133) to 5-17 weeks of age and 537(±204), 561(±171) to 18-22 weeks of age, for lighting program A and B, respectively. Methionine + cystine requirements were 263(±44), 272(±40) to 1-4 weeks of age, 320(±90), 333(±80) to 5-17 weeks of age and 453(±149), 468(±129) to 18-22 ... |
