Resumo: The topic of this research is on Community Forest Management in the Legal Amazon, based on the theoretical guidelines of Magnaghi (2001; 2005), Bagnasco (1978), Saquet (2008; 2018) and others, who discuss territorial heritage and the Cycle of Territorialization, Deterritorialization and Reterritorialization (TDR Cycle), respectively, and the consequences of illegal deforestation for the forest and traditional peoples. Thus, it is understood that the lack of protective public policies and non-compliance with environmental legislation weaken the protection and preservation of the Amazon Forest, causing serious consequences for the environment and the populations that inhabit the region of the amazonians. Therefore, we aim to analyze the experience of Sustainable Forest Management in the Legal Amazon, applied in the Pará state, specifically in the municipality of Porto de Moz, in the Extractive Reserve (RESEX) Verde Para Sempre. As the object of study, we developed a field research, with an analytical-descriptive nature, carried out in the form of a case study, using the semi-structured interview with seven community members, women and men, between 20 and 85 years old, leaders and members of the Mixed Agroextractive Cooperative Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro do Rio Arimum (COMSPRA). The collected data result from the interviews based on three thematic axes, namely: Axis – 1: Territory, Conservation Unit and Territorial Heritage; Axis – 2: Community Organization, Forest Management and Illegal Deforestation; and, Axis – 3: Territorial development. The pace of this research allows us to verify that the community organization within the Legal Amazon promotes actions involving the conservation and protection of the forest, in addition to locally develop productive activities that generate jobs and income. Related to the Territorialization stage of the RESEX TDR Cycle, one of the findings is that the strengthening of the organization of the Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro do Rio Arimum Community has advanced solidly with the productive configurations related to the MFC. Regarding the Deterritorialization stage, it was verified that with the implementation of the MFC and the community organization, the phenomenon here conceptualized as Territorial Color Blindness occurs, arising from the historicity of the Amazonian communities. About the Reterritorialization stage, we consider it a transitional phase in which is identified aspects such as territorial development, resulting from community organization, women's participation in the MFC and creation of environmental, class and place awareness. Such observations work together to the understanding that Comunidade Nossa do Perpétuo Socorro do Rio Arimum is an example for the other communities included in the RESEX and in the Legal Amazon, as it follows a coevolutionary cycle of time and space, (trans)forming its territories and experiences, through the link between the past and present, building heritage for the future and for territorial development, ensuring compliance with legal pacts and agreements signed between the Community, the State and the environment.
