Resumo: | In order to reach a better agriculture produtivity, Brazil has becoming the biggest consumer of agrotoxics of the world. Currently, Paraná State is in the third possition in agrotoxics using in the country and, Toledo City is in the same position into the State. Thou, this quali-quantitative study aimed at collecting data on the agrotoxics commercialization and using in Brazil and hence, spread the need of preventive actions. The research was divided in two complementary parts: in the first bibliographyc phase we investigated the increasing agrotoxics commercialization in the Brasilian agriculture production by searching the IBAMA and SIAGRO systems. In this phase we concluded, among others aspects, that the internal sales in 2014 were of 508,6 thousand tons of active ingredientes (AI). However, from the 317 active ingredientes, only 76 were divulgated, which corresponds to the total of 453,048.74 tons, - this quantity corresponds to 89% of the national products sale of this group. As the agrotoxics commercialization in Paraná State, we conclude that, in 2014, there was a total of 102,612 tons and, in 2015, this number duplicated to 102,612 tons. Due to these results, the second phase of this study emerged, and it was then accomplished with 23 farmers in a local fair in Toledo City, aiming at evaluating their actions when using agrotoxics in their farms. The data collect was based on interviews and questionaries. In this phase, the results show that, although the farmers recognised that agrotoxics are very dangerous to their healthy, since from the total of 23 farmers 17 of them have made regular use of agrotoxics in agriculture, probably due to the prompt action of these products. Besides, three of them have not been using any Individual Protection Equipaments – IPE in the toxic products management, and14 have been partial using of IPE. Thou, this study reinforces the hypothesis of the damage that this increase use of agrotoxics has caused, not just for the farmers, as well as to us as food consumers, and hence, to the environment. In the other hand, the study has also pointed to the State Governant rule by proposing actions to solve the damages caused by the improper use of agrotoxics, mainly to the healthy of the farmers who are directly exposed to. There is the need of more efective legislations on the using and, also able to charge the producers and the market of agrotoxics. To add the actions, the study developed a guide book in order to help the farmers to better use the IPE as a tool of protection avoinding intoxications. This material will be given to the farmers and will be available in the Unioeste library for educational purposes. |
