Resumo: Emotional factors may be related to postural changes and understanding this relationship helps us to better plan therapeutic approaches. The objective of this research was to analyze the association of anthropometric and hemodynamic factors with anxiety in dental students during clinical practice. Methods: This was a cross-sectional, descriptive and exploratory study, with a quantitative methodological strategy to evaluate dental students from the State University of Western Paraná. 75 students from the 3rd and 4th year Dentistry course were evaluated during Periodontics I and II classes from April to June 2022. Results: Of these students, 59 (78%) were female, 16 (22%) males, showed a mean age of 22.74 ± 4.16 years. Participants had an average body mass index of 24.09 ±0.80 kg; of these, 72% of the students had Body Mass Index with 71.88% with Normal Weight, 6.66% Overweight; 2.66% obese and 3.24 underweight students. By the STAI score to a higher incidence of Moderate Anxiety for both trait anxiety (64%) and state anxiety (52%). Conclusion: A prevalence of moderate levels of anxiety was found, which is similar between men and women, being higher in the most recent classes (Periodontics I). Academics of Periodontics I tend to abandon an adequate posture during consultations and changes in Blood Pressure during clinical practice compared to more experienced Periodontics II, associating anxiety levels with posture during clinical practice of the two groups and these with the time of practice and the period of the course, showed alterations observed in a larger group with a high level of state anxiety (STAI T) for Periodontics I students compared to Periodontics II students.
