Resumo: | This dissertation project is built within the thematic context of sustainable practices required by environmental certifications applicable to coffee agroforestry systems. This project is justified by studies indicating that environmental certification can bring economic, social, and environmental benefits to agroforestry production, as well as contribute to biodiversity conservation and the improvement of local communities' quality of life. Its main objective is to propose sustainable practices for an agroecological coffee farm that would enable it to comply with the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard. The research is characterized as a case study and is presented through a master's thesis that employs research methods such as documentary and bibliographic investigation, data collection and analysis, non-participatory direct field observation, and unstructured, semi-structured, and structured interviews, to map sustainable practices in agroforestry systems and analyze the farm's sustainable practices after assessing the certification requirements. Thus, it is expected that the analysis of sustainable practices will identify opportunities for improvement in the farm's practices. |
