Resumo: | This work had as main objective to carry out a comparative study of the viability of implantation of rural photovoltaic farms in relation to the agricultural production in different States of Brazil. The study seeks to assist rural producers in deciding whether to occupy a rural area with a photovoltaic generation system, while it could be used for agricultural production. Since, due to the agricultural vocation and the need to offer foodstuffs, this area would be unavailable for production for the life of the system. In this way, the data on production costs for soybeans and beef cattle were collected, as well as the costs for the implementation of photovoltaic systems. Making it possible to calculate the profit for each of the activities, subtracting the costs associated with the production of the revenues obtained, through the sale of inputs. Based on these data, cash flows were prepared and, subsequently, the net present value - NPV was calculated for each activity. The generation of photovoltaic energy resulted in the highest NPV in all States, with Paraná standing out with NPV R$ 4,340,184.85. In relation to other activities, soybeans showed a higher financial return than beef cattle, which proved to be a low-return activity. The State of Goiás obtained the best results for these two activities, with NPV R$ 75,166.01 for soybeans and NPV of R $ 12,469.65 for cattle raising. All the activities analyzed demonstrated that they are financially viable, as they resulted in NPV greater than zero. |
