This work analyzes the technological dynamics of Fiasul Industry of Cotton Threads Limited (Toledo, Paraná-Brazil) through the theoretical reference of the technological capabilities under four ranges (operation investment innovation and sphere of the relationships with the economy) Concerning its matrix of technological capabilities and considering the accumulation of the competitive advantages that Fiasul had in ten years of existence it was verified items of the basic technological capabilities (which are involved in the knowledge on the technology in use that is necessary for the company to stay at the market) and intermediaries (that demand the improvement of the technology in use in a larger scale higher than observed in the previous level) not having items for the advanced technological capabilities The interaction of those levels of technological capabilities (basic and intermediary) is demarcating the survival conditions and growth of Fiasul and they are determining its competitive strategies inside of the context of effective competition in the spinning section. |
