Resumo: | The present paper has proposed to analyze some of the contents passed on by the national media, especially the Veja and Carta Capital magazines, which, in our view, have divergent political positions. We will leave the assumption that the media as a whole cause in society, considered an influence in their understanding of the world, especially those who do not bother to seek to understand it also in other sources. We are interested in analyzing the extent to which this influence occurs and how we can perceive it, in the light of Historical-Dialectical Materialism, which, by the way, we use much more than just as an investigative method, but as a contribution to our lives and understanding of the whole universe. Thus, we visualized the media as one of the elements of the Superstructure described and analyzed by the philosopher/sociologist Karl Marx in the nineteenth century, who devoted his intellectual life to the search for understanding the complex Capitalist Mode of Production. To do this, we initially seek to discuss this mode as an abstruse system with multiple facets to, in a second moment, seek to understand the role of the media within this system, to which we are all submitted. Therefore, we seek to present how the various media channels were constituted that inform us/deform/transform us daily. Lastly, and after presenting important elements of discussion today, which have a correlation with the general theme (the issue of neoliberalism and oil), we made documentary surveys of Veja and Carta Capital magazines in order to find elements of these weekly newspaper, seeking to identify how they deal the themes to ascertain their ideological content. It is worth noting that the aforementioned journals are two of the journals of great national circulation, transiting even in the educational institutions of the country. In general, we seek to perceive whether there are distinctions in their approaches so that we can analyze their social influence. |
