Resumo: | The objective of this dissertation is to analyze how the company Ferpalglass operates its circular business model. The justification for this study lies in the need to change the way society produces and consumes goods and services. This is because the current linear economic system proves to be inefficient, due to the limited availability of natural resources and the Planet's limits in assimilating the waste and pollution generated. The Circular Economy emerges as a new economic paradigm. Its foundations, based on the elimination of waste and pollution, the circulation of products and materials and the regeneration of the natural environment, guide the State, academia, companies and consumers. The goal is more sustainable production and consumption, in line with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. In this way, when analyzing the operationalization of a circular business, there is the opportunity to understand its practical implementation and the positive impacts generated in economic, environmental and social terms for current and future generations. In this applied, descriptive and qualitative study, a single case study was used as a strategy. The results characterize the company researched, highlighting the motivations, opportunities and challenges of its circular model. They describe the processes of the business life cycle. It proposes a Morphological Matrix capable of analyzing the circular profile of a Circular Economy Business Model (CEBM). And, finally, it analyzes the elements of the Circular Economy present in the company's activity. This research contributes to expanding theoretical knowledge about the Circular Economy. It enables a strategic and holistic view of the circular economic model, focusing on its applicability and positive impacts generated. In addition to contributing with a proposal for a diagnostic tool capable of analyzing the circular profile of a business using the Circular Economy, identifying the elements that make it up, providing greater assertiveness towards sustainability. |
