Resumo: | Determining factors for osseointegration are bone density and the systemic condition of the patient, which will influence bone healing. The objective of this research is to correlate local and systemic factors with cone bean computed tomography. The computed tomography analysis was performed using the BµA-DDX-Bone Microarchitecture by Dentistry Digital X Ray software. The process was carried out by searching electronic databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus) and dental and radiographic evaluation of the patients seen at the Dentistry Clinic of the State University of Western Paraná. A jaw bone texture descriptor was used to organize and identify data in patients with suspected changes in bone density, assessing bone microarchitecture, and systemic comorbidities in samples collected from CT scans, which were compared with data from the literature. Data from 76 patients were analyzed, among which 61 individuals had the number of pixels considered normal (≥607 pixels) and 15 patients had the number of pixels considered suspect (<607). The BµA-DDX Bone Microarchitecture by Dentistry Digital X-Ray software was able to detect a higher percentage of elderly patients over 60 years old and total toothless with bone density classified as suspicious and evidenced a higher risk of presenting trabecular bone density classified as suspicious. in partial and total edentulous patients. In conclusion, the method developed allowed the evaluation of the radiographs, identifying possible analogies in the patients evaluated in relation to bone density. |
