Resumo: | The present work characterizes and compare the textbooks of the Initial Years of Basic Education in Brazil and inTaiwan, analyzing 5th grade science textbook used in the city of Cascavel (PR) in Brazil and Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The present work investigates the whole context of definition, production and distribution of textbooks in both countries, as well as the perception of emigrants about the educational differences between the two countries. The research is qualitative, with sources of bibliographies, documents, questionnaires, interviews and textbooks submitting this material to Bardin's Content Analysis (1995) and comparison of the data between Brazil and Taiwan. It is inferred that the two countries share the intention to develop an education that improves the country´s economy and have had several educational reforms since 1950 until today. The contents of the science textbooks analyzed in this research present interdisciplinary ideas between the mathematics and the national language disciplines and the other disciplines of Sciences, such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It is hoped that this work will contribute to the reflection on the different meanders of the policy of textbooks for education and its importance in the construction of a country project |
