Resumo: | The present research had as objective to analyze the actions of the Milk of the Children program of the state of Paraná and its beneficiaries in the context of rural development in the municipality of Cafelândia. Initially, questionnaires were applied to the beneficiaries: rural producer, plant and responsible for the children attended, concomitantly analyzed the reports of quality control of milk and prices paid to producers available on the official website. It was observed that the producers had milk production as the main monthly income, but they complained about the value paid for the product, even without knowing how to calculate the cost of this production. The plant considers the program positive, but acknowledged that there were eventually miscommunications of information provided by the secretariats involved. Most of the evaluated children were in weight appropriate for the age, given very positive for the municipality and that can serve as a guide for new actions. Regarding the quality of the milk distributed, the municipality registered the best results in the period, receiving the maximum values, that is, an increase of 1.8% per liter of milk. Given this context, it can be observed that the program studied can contribute to rural development since it improves some details: improve the technical support to producers in understanding the dynamics of costs and calculation of profits, reevaluate the financial increases for those who meet the requirements improve the communication between sectors, systematize the data recording of the producers and children served, improving the monitoring of the program and, finally, to introduce continued nutritional education to the beneficiaries. |
