Resumo: | This work aimed to understand the role of agricultural fairs in the dissemination of agricultural technology in the South Region of Brazil. Therefore, we structure a master's thesis into three chapters. In the first chapter, we approach the theoretical bases of research and the process of modernization of agriculture. In the second chapter, we seek to explain how fairs have become disseminators of technification, specifying what conditions these events are to be held in the South of Brazil, such as the importance of agricultural and credit cooperatives, credit via public financial institutions and productive conditions. In the third, we characterize, analyze and discuss the spatial, historical and economic dynamics of the five main fairs in the South Region (Expodireto Cotrijal, Expointer, Show Rural Coopavel, Mercoagro and Avesui). In addition, with the research, we observed the link established between the respective fairs and cooperatives and financial institutions, the evolution of sales and the way in which these events are following the main agribusiness supply chains |
