Resumo: |
In this study we present the dissertation initial problem developed in the Master of Education, research line "History of Education". The proposed overall goal is to understand the narratives in oral reports on the school careers of Angolan students who undertake their studies in Brazil, through the Students-Agreement Graduate Program (PEC-G). The general objective involves: identifying the reasons that led the Angolan students to choose Brazil for the fulfilment of academic mobility; analyze the Program Students-Agreement Graduation (PEC-G) which allows academic mobility in Brazil and the relationship with the choice of Brazil to effect the graduate studies; and understand the narratives about the school route taken by the research subjects. In the investigation established as a research problem the following question: ─ How is the school career of Angolan students who chose Brazil for the undergraduate study? To assist in understanding, the problem established as research questions: ─ Why Brazil was the destination chosen by the Angolan students for academic mobility? ─ What are the difficulties and expectations of Angolan students who undertake their studies in surveyed institutions? ─ What are the life stories of the Angolan students who participate in academic mobility agreements in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) selected for the survey. To answer these questions the option was there for a characterizable as qualitative research, carried out by means of narrative interviews in the second half of 2013, from which it was possible to know the school careers of six Angolan students enrolled in two higher education institutions (IES), the Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE) and the Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (UEPG). The document analysis was also selected to provide access to information in relation to student mobility of Angolan students. The survey results showed that student mobility held by Angolan students in Brazil is through the Student-Agreement Graduate Program (PEC-G) as a result of educational, cultural, scientific and technological agreements that Brazil has with Angola and with other developing countries, with the main objective the promotion and the training of human resources of the countries participating in the Program, enhancing the development of the local community and the country through education internationalization.
