Resumo: | The present search approach state therapy to deal with transnational drug trafficking by studying the actions taken jointly by the Federal Police and the Federal Public Prosecution Service, called operations to combat drug trafficking, in the backdrop of the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The analysis will focus mainly on cannabis trafficking, having as route for the distribution of the drug in the Brazilian territory the city of Foz do Iguaçu/PR. From the descriptive synopsis of some of the operations carried out in the city of Foz do Iguaçu/PR, intend to demonstrate the genealogy of power enclosed in the strategies and tactics of the State, highlighting one of its faces: state surveillance. Therefore, drug trafficking should be considered not only as an illegal act, but as an illegalism, taking into account the political adopted, which operationalizes the social perception of violence. Prohibitionist policies adopted in dealing with drug issues, including in Brazil, challenge the logic of intervention and raise questions about the real reasons why States want to ban certain substances. Despite colonization of justifying discourses of the war on drugs, the fact is that these discourses are not homogeneous, and there are contradictions even within the prohibition defense. Not to mention the counter-discourse that supports drug “release” as a management strategy for the issue. It is also emphasized that if the state strategy is born as a form of power economy based on social conduct, those originate counter-strategies by drug trafficking as a form of opposition, demonstrating that the prohibitionist tactic is far from being the best one. and more efficient option in this combat. |
