Resumo: The main objective of this dissertation was to analyze the degree of exploitation of the workforce from the transfer of value between a peripheral economy and a central economy. To this end, the theoretical and methodological bases of the Marxist Theory and the Marxist Theory of Dependence (TMD) were used to analyze the phenomenon from a historical perspective and, specifically, in the years between 2012 and 2017 for the selected countries: Brazil and United States. With the results found, it was demonstrated the existence of an inequality between the value produced and appropriated by the capitalist periphery. In addition, it can be inferred that the worker in the capitalist periphery receives less, works more and is more vulnerable to risks at work, so he is exploited to a greater degree than the worker in the capitalist center, he is overexploited.
