Resumo: This research focuses on the Continuing Training of Basic Education Teachers in the insertion of technologies and digital media in the literacy process. General objective is to analyze the continuing education process in a municipality in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, considering the insertion of technologies and digital media in the literacy process and propose a continuing training program in the school space. The consolidation of the research was confirmed based on State of the Art studies, which indicate few works in the area of training literacy teachers with a view to the insertion of technologies and digital media. The research problem is expressed: “How and in what way does the continued training promoted by the Municipal Department of Education of the Municipality of Campina Grande do Sul - Metropolitan Region of Curitiba enable the insertion of technologies and digital media in the literacy process? This research is configured as a Case Study with a qualitative approach, based on data collection, based on the collection of official documents guiding the process of continued training of literacy teachers, interviews and questionnaires for the pedagogical team of the municipal education department and literacy teachers of the municipal schools, making a total of 12 schools participating in the research and 35 literacy teachers and 3 teaching teachers on the municipal education department team. Among the main authors who support this thesis regarding the analysis and discussion of the results, the following stand out: regarding the state of the art, the continuing education of teachers: André (2005, 2013, 2015, 2023); Imbernón (2010); Romanowski (2006, 2007, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020); Marcelo Garcia (1999, 2009); Gatti (2003, 2022); Nóvoa (1997, 1999, 2019, 2023). Regarding cyberculture, consider Lévy (2014), technology and digital media, studies by Kenski (2007. 2011, 2012). To discuss literacy: Ferreiro (1985, 1986, 1995, 1996, 2007, 2011, 2013); Mortatti (2004) and Soares (1998, 2004, 2016, 2021); and analysis and discussions of data collection, Bardin (2011) and Lüdke and André (2018). Based on the analysis of the research, there is a need to invest in the continued training of literacy teachers to include technologies and digital media in the literacy process. For training based on teaching practice in the form of pedagogical advice as a proposal suggested by literacy teachers participating in the research. To this is added public policies to be adopted by the municipality to ensure the implementation of continuing education, respecting the context of the institutions and pedagogical practice. Thus, the educational product of the thesis is directed towards a continuing training program for the insertion of technologies and digital media in the literacy process to be developed in the school space.
