Resumo: The dissertation title The graffiti photography on the walls of the State school Senador Alberto Pasqualini : sensitivities for a heritage education is inserted in the search line “Memory, Culture and Identity Professional Master in Social Memory and Cultural Heritage”. It aims to study graffiti photography on the walls and furniture of the State school Senador Alberto Pasqualini , an architectural construction in Art Deco style, built between 1929 to 1931, representing a period of German immigration in Vale do Rio dos Sinos. The main problem of this research is: How the graffiti photography on the walls of the State School Senador Alberto Pasqualini, from 2000 to 2014, can commove the school community for heritage education, turning out the building visible as a community heritage? Its general objective is to commove the school community through graffiti photography, spelled on the walls and school furniture, aiming the awareness of how relevant the heritage education is in order to preserve this building and other cultural heritages. The theoretical references of this paper are the studies of Roland Barthes (1984; 1990), Ándre Bazin (1991), Rosa Dias (2011), Philinpe Dubois (1993), Celso Favaretto (1999; 2010), Paulo Freire (1982; 2001; 2004), Evelina Grunberg (1995; 2007), Boris Kossoy (1972; 1980; 2021; 2007), Pierre Nora (1977; 1993), Sandra Pesavento (2003; 2005; 2007), Célia Ramos (1994) and others. Documental research in books were adopted as methodology, school’s photography and documents, followed by two semi-structured interviews with one ex-employee and one active teacher to perform an inventory of memory places. Still integrating the methodology, it was given a workshop titled, Photography as vehicle of sensitivities to a class of Visual Arts. The final product, one of the master's requirements, will be an exhibition of photographs produced by the students and the graduate student, which will be exposed in the school Auditorium for two weeks. There is an intention of extending the exhibition for other rooms in Novo Hamburgo, as well as other cities of German immigration of Vale do Rio dos Sinos.
