Resumo: The segment of the Brazilian wine industry is undergoing a transformation and constitutes an important activity for the sustainability and development of small properties in Brazil. Composed of family enterprises has sought to professionalize themselves, either by qualification management, and innovation of its products and services as a way to compete with domestic and imported products. In this context, the wineries of southern Brazil there is a complex situation, how to survive the market instabilities producer and consumer? One answer would be to find creative solutions to reinvent themselves to compete. In this scenario, the relationship between organizational memory and management is the subject of this study. Thus, this case study research aims to contextualize and analyze, in relation their practices and management processes and ownership of information and knowledge stored in Adega Chesini’s Organizational Memory. This study is qualitative, exploratory and case study nature. Data collection used as main sources to document research, observation and narrative interviews. To make data analysis it employed to content analysis and thematic analysis. The results of this study reveal the form specifies that: (a) those from changes in the external environment boosted Adega Chesini a quest to reinvent your business, (b) in the context of the process of acquiring, storing and retrieving the information, there are organizational learning, (c) it was found that organizational memory is still focused on the oral memory of the members of this organization and its suppliers, even though there are efforts in third stage of management, called institutionalization, to increase the structure, (d) suggestion creation of repositories, in the individual and the organizational dimension as a way to keep his memory alive.
