Resumo: The study analyzes the existence of a gap between the training specification and administration skills, and content skills required by the labour market. Aims general measure the gap between the Administrator's education and his performance in the labour market. The methodological procedures chosen for the survey were bibliographical research, desk research and field research. The literature search has the role to operationalize the hypothesis, the documentary research served as a reference for the definition of the indicators and field research, presented the analysis conducted to corroborate or refute the hypothesis of the research, through the presentation of the results of the gap analysis. It was held also in field research, the triangulation of the data of the questionnaire, answered by administrators, by means of horizontal, vertical and diagonal analysis of data collected in the interview with the course coordinators and managers of people, about the result of the questionnaire. The universe researched was registered administrators at the regional Council of administration of Bahia, who have completed the course after the year 2008 and act professionally in the administration area. The result was a 51% hiatus on the use of competencies, skills, and content on the professional activity of these administrators. Representing the gap between the Administrator's education and his performance in the labour market.
