Resumo: There is a consensus among teachers, concerning the idea that the use of experimental practices in conjunction with the theory implies a strengthening of the basic concepts of learning, mainly with regard to the understanding of physics. Such strengthened concepts would promote meaningful learning. But what occurs in daily practice in the classroom, is to relegate or even to abandon the experimental classes, creating a discrepancy between "what should be done" and "what is done". The present research, in a simplified and objective manner, indicates the importance of applying simple experiments in the classroom, using low cost materials. Also pointed out some sites in Internet of physics experiments, aiming assist the choice and execution of experiments, all simple, easy to manufacture and reasonably attractive. Therefore, starting from the assumption that such experiments help the assimilation of content, promoting a conceptual and substantial meaningful learning, the present research aimes to reduce the possible barriers between use or not to use the experiments in the classroom, providing the teacher a choice of several experimental practices, according to their availability. In addition, a new proposal has been suggested regarding how to perform the experiments. A set of materials of low cost and easy to purchase, now called kit was made available, to be used in a lot of simple experiments applied at the high school physics classes. This practice was analyzed, indicating that the concepts underpinning theories of students have changed with the use of the proposed methodology, enabling improving the performance of the assessments of learning proposals.
