Resumo: The food and body on consumer society are among the recente interests of consumer researchers. In the field of social sciences some studies are considered milestones in respect of issues that point to the thinking on the uses and practices related to the body and the power. The goal of this study is to describe and understand the relationship between consumption, eating habits of the Baixada Fluminense women and their bodies, this research brings a contribution to the studies of management, more specifically in the fields of marketing and consumer behavior. Thus ten semi-structured interviews with women were made that were transcribed, then were analyzed through content analysis technique proposed by Bardin (2011). The research is based on the practical-theoretical approach of Alan Warde (2005). The components in the practice of theory Warde (2005) was used as the basis for categorization of feeding practices in relation to food intake and women's bodies. Finally, it was possible to identify the components of the practices proposed by Warde on the data collected.
