Resumo: This thesis seeks to answer that elements in the discourse on the concept of strategy contribute to the formation of the 'enterprising individual" as defined by Michael Porter. This question emerged from studies conducted at the Incubator of Enterprises for Prison system, a project that aims at the rehabilitation of former detainees, by stimulating the creation of a business deal while avoiding the difficulties that the formal labor market requires at that public. As a goal(objective), we intend to present what is played by incubators in the construction of individuals imbued with strategic knowledge whose practices tend to spread the notion of credibility. To support the concept of strategy, this work has relied on the assumptions of Michael Porter. In relation to field studies, interviews were conducted with entrepreneurs in the Incubator. Initially, we interviewed twenty-one entrepreneurs to identify the profiles of graduates of the prison system interested in participating in the process of incubation. Subsequently, we interviewed four entrepreneurs who had already completed the whole incubation process. The results showed that individuals have acquired a typical business jargon, verbalizing specific terms of the literature of management science, which give greater credibility to the company. However, their daily practices rather reflects the adoption of these concepts.
