The purpose of this dissertation is to try to apprehend the changes generated by the productive restructuring process in the telecommunications sector, more specifically in the company CTBC Telecom, and to verify the impacts of this trend, mainly on the labor market. The periodization adopted comprises the years between 1988 and 1998, a period that concentrated the greatest changes in the sector and in the company studied. Without disregarding the conjunctural problems experienced by the country in recent years, the study made it possible to explain the fundamental axes of how the company's strategy has been and has been taking place in the face of all these transformations, showing that also at CTBC Telecom, following a global logic, the Productive investment is also intensive in capital and not in labor, and that the impacts arising from the restructuring process have been destructive for the labor market in terms of regulated forms of purchase and sale of the labor force.
