Resumo: The main concern of this study was to understand how different elements could be related to the challenges of the implementation of the Compulsory Notification of Violence (NCV) in the Strategy of Family Health in the city of Uberlândia / MG. We began by performing the systematic review of literature in which we sought to understand which discourses on compulsory notification of violence circulated in Brazilian health journals between the years 2006-2015. From this fact, the decision to present the work in the equivalent work model was made, and the Systematic Review constituted the first article entitled: One note samba: systematic review of the literature on compulsory notification of violence in the health area. In the analyzed production, the evidence of underreporting and the unpreparedness/lack of interest of service professionals for the notification seemed to form some consensus for those who work/research in the health services. The question of the preparation to deal with the subject in the FHT then became our problem to be investigated in the unfolding of the research. The research universe was composed of nurses and physicians from the 72 Family Health Teams enrolled in the National Registry of Health Establishments (CNES) and effectively implemented until December 2015 A semi-structured, self-administered questionnaire was used as a collection tool. The decision to elaborate a second article prioritizing the responses of the nursing professionals who work in the teams was justified by the recognition that researchers from nursing undergraduates would be the main authors of the articles identified in the review, which would point to the pertinence of the theme in the area and the recognition of the position of the nurse as caregiver in this municipality. From this choice came the second article entitled: Compulsory Notification of Violence in the Family Health Strategy: knowledge and practices of nursing professionals in Uberlândia. The repeated unpreparedness/lack of knowledge in the results would not be a mere rhetoric, but a product of a broader process of the absence of the theme in the training/qualification of professionals. Combining the elements discussed in the research, we believe that it is urgent to create strategies that allow the inclusion as a priority theme in nursing undergraduate courses, the issue of violence as a health problem and its coping mechanisms.
