Resumo: The present study inserts itself in the Line of Politics and Administration of the Education of the Program of Masters degree in Education of the Federal University of Uberlândia and it has as central theme the democratic administration in the education and their changes in the organizational culture of the mineiras schools in the context of the education politics of the years of 1990. This objective is to analyze the implications in the organizational culture of the school, the mechanisms implemented on behalf of the democratization of the administration of the public school, especially the school directors' election, the school collegiate and the political-pedagogic project, in the context of the education politics of Minas Gerais in the years of 1990. This intends to analyze still as those mechanisms have been interfering in the organizational culture of the state public school, with base in the perception of the subjects that they build that school, in the daily of their practices, relationships and interactions. In that sense, it was looked for to apprehend the outlines that have been assuming some elements of the invisibility area and of the area of visibility of the organizational culture of the school and the relationship among the endogenous and exogenous factors that contribute to the production of that culture, front to the mechanisms of democratization of the school administration highlighted above. As for the methodological aspect, this study is of stamp investigative and it inserts itself in the field of the qualitative research, for believing that the transport of the research in that methodological field makes possible the researcher to build a more global and articulate vision of the investigated object and it relationship with the sociocultural, political and economical aspects. The investigated school organization is part of the state public net of teaching placed in the municipal district of Uberlândia-MG and it assists to the fundamental and medium levels of education. The choice of such an organization took into account the largest time of implementation of the mechanisms of democratization of the school administration. In the data collection process, the used instrument was the semi-structured interview. The studies in the field of the organizational culture evidence that an important dimension to be considered in the analyses on the school organization of work refers to the dimensions don't form the structure of the school. What that the school is, their guidelines, its operation dynamics, it s not just put by the norms and rules that give them sustentation, but also for the values, faiths and ideologies that permeate the performance of the subjects that they participate in it. It was evidenced, also, that for an appropriate understanding of the school work, although the analysis of aspects is privileged more directly linked to the school organization, it is necessary to have present that that organization is defined conditioned by the factors exogenous that they permeate the school. The studies on the organizational culture of the school make possible to apprehend the identity of the school, however without taking it in an isolated way, once it appears for the articulation among that identity and the partner-historical conditioner that engender the school organization.
