Resumo: | This study aimed to develop and evaluate a proposal of mediational intervention that promotes healthy eating habits on pre-school age children. It s theoretically based on the mediated learning approach developed by Feuerstein (1980) and by the mediational principles presented in the MISC Program Mediated Intervention for Sensitizing Caregivers. Mediational resources were prepared aiming at learning and evaluation of appropriate eating habits, with a group of 11 children, with the age of six years and coming from a public educational institution from the city of Uberlândia MG. The parents/guardians and the two teachers from the institution also participated in the study. The intervention with the children was performed in the institution and was divided into seven sessions which were worked contents designed for the learning of healthy eating habits. The intervention with the teachers were made through the event promoted by FAPEMIG and PGPSI / UFU, entitled I Seminário: um, dois... feijão com arroz - o uso da aprendizagem na alimentação infantil . Parents/Guardians of the children did not participate in the intervention claiming lack of interest or unavailability to do so. Although the data do not allow generalizations due to the small sample size of participants, changes in the behavior of the children evaluated during the workshops and the feedback given by parents at the end of the work, allow the conclusion on its possible effectiveness, of the eleven participating children, more than 70% showed positive changes in their diet (eating more nutritious foods and less soft drinks). The data from the workshops with the children demonstrate the applicability of the MISC program on interventions of this nature. |
