Resumo: The present study aimed to analyze the vibrations that are transmitted to the wheelchair during travel on certain paving sidewalks because of the risk that the vibrations generate health and increasing complaints from wheelchair, directed to the City Council of People with Disabilities - COMPOD - Uberlandia. Among the main complaints cite the difficulty and discomfort to move around on the sidewalks of tessellations. Within the types of paving quite usual sidewalks, four were three of which are composed of materials established as suitable for range of movement by Law No. 10,686, of December 20, 2010 the road system of Uberlandia, and the other type of paving which consists put monkey stone, often used in Uberlandia. In this work, the technical aspects with the subjective aspects, through four methodological steps correlated, which consisted of a characterization of the samples, followed by a visual inspection, by claiming to select sidewalks snippets visually generally well, to further promote the test with the wheelchair safely and appropriately for research. The great advantage of the research was to collect data to vibration transmitted to the wheelchair while traveling in the selected flooring, while the application of the walkthrough to understand the perception of the wheelchair in the matters of comfort felt during the displacement on the different types of paving sidewalk. All data collected and the diagnosis of quantified vibrations correlated comfort sense, kind of sidewalk paving and all technical aspects addressed in this study, were organized in spreadsheets and later shown graphically leaving clear the difficulty and the risk of wheelchair displacement.
