Taking as a basis the need and provision in law for the implementation of Environmental Education in the formal Brazilian education system, the objective of this work was to develop a Didactic Sequence to address trends in Environmental Education in High School. Using the typology of Layrargues and Lima (2011), we developed it and invited teachers from the area of ​​Natural Sciences, who work in this series, to evaluate the proposal. The research participants evaluated it positively, considering that the activities are relevant to secondary education and that it is possible to include them in the teacher's didactic program. Unlike the reference literature, the data also indicated that most teachers already have knowledge about the trends, which suggests that this topic may be reaching the initial and/or continuing training of teachers in that area.
