Resumo: | Environmental education in the school environment is an integral tool of educational systems, whose objective is to foster students' awareness of environmental issues, taking into account their individual experiences. In this sense, its application in the educational sphere is aimed at the formation of citizens committed to active participation in their surroundings, demanding a scientific understanding to assimilate the phenomena present around them. The preservation of native bees emerges as a fundamental point in the elaboration of a set of didactic activities that contribute to the development of environmental education. The purpose of this research was to create and evaluate the contributions of this proposal in stimulating critical thinking in relation to local environmental problems that threaten the diversity of native bees. It was decided to adopt a qualitative approach, through the recording of the tasks performed by the students and the observation of their performance during the classes. The planned activities were implemented at the Perilo Rodrigues de Moura State College, located in Inaciolândia-GO, within the discipline of Biology, focusing on practices such as drawing, playful presentations, problem solving, and lapbook creation. The educational project entitled "Environmental Education: Preservation of Native Bees" served as the basis for the activities proposed in the pedagogical sequence, motivating students to get involved in classes and making them aware of the importance of native bees in the food chain of animals and humans, as well as in the preservation of the ecosystem and species local vegetables. The analysis of the results revealed that the students had little knowledge about the native bees, since most of them were only familiar with the Apis Mellifera bees, unaware of the native species, characterized by their docility and essential role in pollination. It is noteworthy that this educational material can be used by other teachers interested in protecting native bees, given the scarcity of information available about the ecosystem services provided by these insects. |
