Resumo: This study aims to understand the constitution process of the Triângulo Mineiro, the current administrative region of the State of Minas Gerais, located between the Grande and Paranaíba rivers, a place of political disputes between Captaincies and Provinces for reasons and motivations that we seek to analyze along with the text. Therefore, we mobilize sources of diverse nature such as cartography, press, official documents, memories, and travel reports to think about the elements that make up its main figuration: the triangle - seeking to identify its historical vertices, edges, or political sides and the identity form constituted by starting from its disjunction - we propose to establish a narrative examining the historical constitution of its vertices or the process of composition of the limits of the current Triangle; its sides that are formed by the idea of subjects in the territorial disputes that arose through these movements between São Paulo, Minas, and Goiás. Finally, traversing their forms or the construction of the figuration that we know as the “Mineiro” Triangle, we find a category material that goes beyond the traces of the Euclidean figure and reveals different ways of belonging and relating to the inhabited space.
