Resumo: Through reconstruction of the occupation and formation of the region of the Triângulo Mineiro, Minas Gerais, Brazil – propose to put as that transport and logistics activity, were essential to the development of the region. Based on the cities of Araguari, Araxá, Uberaba, Uberlandia and Sacrament, if reconstitutes the regional training since the first expeditions bandeirante until the consolidation of Uberlândia as regional pole and a city that stands out within the National. With a thorough bibliography on the subject and visits to these cities, are reported to the social, economic and political events that boosted the development and the highlight of the Mining Triangle in front of the country. And this prominent status in much is linked to transport and logistics, which have appropriated the geographical location of the region, to make it an important national logistic node, serving the largest and main national markets. Currently the region concentrates various in modalities (road, rail and air), creating regional, national and international flows. Finally, an analysis of the quality of road infrastructure (which predominates in the region), as well as data on the flows on the main highways that cut the Triângulo Mineiro.
