The present research aims to develop a gradual and systematized path to work on the sweep picking technique on electric guitar and guitar, through own exercises and compositions. For this, the bibliography on the subject was raised and the analysis and transcription of audiovisual recordings of guitarists who use this technique were carried out. After categorizing and studying the different ways of using sweep picking, critical autoethnography was applied as a methodology for developing the series of exercises and compositions. From the creation of this pedagogical path, it was concluded that sweep picking is a technique used for centuries by plucked string instrumentalists (or picking), being an extremely useful resource for the performance of fast musical excerpts and lines unguitaristics, to the detriment of musical excerpts played slowly and with strong intensity.
