Resumo: | The subject entrepeneurism has had a lot of interest in the last few years both in Brazil and abroad. A criterious analyses has revealed that the subject might be new as a scientific study; however, entrepeneur acts can be traced back from early mankind history. We have to take into account that there are two different study streams of entrepreneurs development. The first one believes that entrepeneurism is innate while the other one believes the opposite. We have chosen the second stream, which believes that the entrepeneur s spirit can be developed. The purpose of this paper is to study the contribution of the academic experience in the entrepeneur s development in students of a business school. This research paper, based on theoretical references, investigates the Entrepeneurs Development Program contribution in a business course in Uberlândia to the development of an entrepeneur spirit. The fundaments of this study were the economic theories, both social and behavioral, with emphasis on the identification of entrepeneur s characteristics present on the students of this study. Among the findings of this research, we could verify that the academic performance of those students who have their own businesses is similar to those who do not have their own businesses. Also the Entrepeneurs Development Program of this school in the study is according to the international proposal for the establishment of an entrepeneur development course. We could verify that the entrepeneur s characteristics studied were present, in different levels, in all students who have their own businesses and we can infer that the course contributes to the development of such characteristics among the students. |
